Biography

Formal Education

Dr. Lalezarzadeh’s educational background speaks to his passion for the medical field. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Philosophy from UCLA. At UCLA, he worked as both a student researcher and a research assistant while maintaining a place on the Dean’s Honors List.
He attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences, where he graduated as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He continued his medical training as a General Surgery Resident at Martin Luther King-Drew Medical Center, where he was the Resident of the Year 2002-2003. He was recruited as Senior Resident at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he completed his residency as the Executive Chief Resident.

Training and Workshops

Throughout his tenure as a General Surgeon, Dr. Lalezarzadeh has always strived to gain new insight and knowledge to better serve his patients. He believes that the process of learning new techniques affords him a wide range of expertise to push his practice to the forefront of the surgical arena.
Early in his career, he developed the philosophy that performing minimally invasive surgical procedures with state-of-the-art technology would benefit his patients. He has gone through a number of intensive training modules on Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeries. These state-of-the-art surgical methods minimize wound infection, scarring, blood loss, and complications in the post-surgical stage, which ultimately leads to a faster recovery time. This dedication to personalized surgical care speaks to Dr. Lalezarzadeh’s commitment to excellence.
